Interesting Concept...

I'm a big fan of Max Brooks, which is why I purchased this novel. The only complaint I have is that it is too short. The characters are great, the story is very fast-paced, and the theories behind it all make you think. Overall, an interesting read and left me wanting a little more.

This is a "Rainy Day" book

Shadow Walk is kind of like the action movie that you would go and see on a rainy summer day when you really have nothing else to do. It's got some good action sequences, some interesting characters and cool designs. Where it falls short, at least for me is the length of the book, which really felt short and rushed, and at times uneven. For example there are a lot of action sequences that don't last for more than a page and conversations between characters around a campfire that last for pages at a time. However despite that there are some good character moments, the story itself is a fun science fiction action blockbuster movie type of story and the art of Shane Davis is really cool as always. The best advice I could give to someone interested in this book is to try to get it at a discounted price and save it for a rainy day. It's enjoyable and I'm glad I got it, but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to get it.

Good story and artwork

This was a good read. I enjoyed it from start to finish. The artwork was really good. I would definitly recommend this.
