What you need to know if injured to protect you and your family

Very well written and eye-opening. People need this information to be prepared when dealing with medical systems, injuries and the insurance companies. We must be our own advocates and never afraid to ask questions. Always get second and third opinions, and a good doctor never feels threatened by patients seeking more information. The book includes what questions to ask, tips on how to keep track of all your medical records, and sadly, if needed, what to ask a lawyer.

This well written guidebook shines a bright light on the entire process of an injured worker. Taking the reader through "things to know and steps to take when you're injured".
Dr. Debra Muth simplifies all the medical, worker's compensation, and legal jargon so clearly - removing the "fear factor" one may face when dealing with their own workplace injury. She provides easy to follow checklists for doctor's appointment and how to find the "right" attorney for your injury.
She even includes State Worker's Compensation Laws/Agencies and a record-keeping template for tax purposes as you travel to various doctor appointments.
Finally, Dr. Muth covers in detail what it is like to be inside a court room - things to prepare yourself for - so you have firsthand experience what can occur.
