satisfying conclusion

I really enjoyed this book. The relationship that Nicole and Josh have is so cute, but still has its ups and downs so it doesn't get boring. The artwork was also good, I especially enjoyed the art for the fantasy story that Nicole is writing.
It was a satisfying conclusion. I also like that she concludes Nicole's fantasy story. She wrapped up other details nicely too, so in the end there weren't really any loose threads. I am looking forward to seeing more work from this author.

Fantastic ending to a great little love story

Amy Kim Ganter's lovely romance about a nerdy NY girl who's lost in her own world, and her persistent suitor who's willing to break down the barriers she's put up to keep love out, comes to a head in this warm and fitting second story half. The best part? When Nicole gets sick and Josh cooks her a delicious Korean dinner. It's the sweetest gesture ever! Anyway, if this story doesn't warm your heart, you might want to get it examined.

So-so everything

Ganter provided a cute two-shot with not much substance or any brilliant illustrations. I don't know enough about her as an author and illustrator to know if this was her first published work, but she definitely has room to improve. Perhaps a longer series will let her spread her wings and focus on plot and character development.
