About the Author
Dan Busby has a Masters degree in business from Emporia State University and he has worked as controller of a university medical center, partner-founder of a CPA firm, and chief financial officer for a religious denomination. He currently serves as the president with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, Washington, D.C, and he is coauthor of The Christian's Guide to Worry-Free Money Management.
J. Michael Martin is an attorney with a Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law, where he was editor-in-chief of the Regent University Law Review, and has an undergraduate degree from Oral Roberts University. He is passionate about helping churches and other Christ-centered organizations comply with ECFA standards. He currently serves as director of member services and associate legal counsel for ECFA, Winchester, Virginia.
John Van Drunen is an attorney and a certified public accountant with a Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law and accounting degree from Anderson University. He has devoted much of his time to working in tax-exempt tax policy and other nonprofit related matters. He currently serves as vice-president and in-house legal counsel for the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, Winchester, VA.

I would for our state's district of our denomination. I recommend these books to all the new ministers that I lead as well as our churches. Great introduction to the unique and expansive topic of minister/church taxes.

Buy this book every year!

The Zondervan Minister's Tax and Financial Guide is a "must have" for all ministers who prepare their own taxes. Even for those who don't, this book tells you what to expect, what to keep track of, and how to structure or restructure your compensation plan to be sure you are getting the most tax savings.
Several of the strategies in this book can save the pastor $1000s per year on taxes and cost the church $0 extra to implement!
I especially like the integrity points at the end of each chapter, helping pastors to think through the moral implications of what they are doing with taxes, social security, ordination, etc. and avoid muddy grey areas or illegalities.
You can't beat the price and the up-to-date information. Buy the new version every year to stay on top of the different changes in the tax code!
